CS 429 is a fully-automatic belt-driven turntable featuring multi-speed functionality (33, 45 & 78rpm), inbuilt phono preamplifier, and the superior audio quality of an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge.
429 features a solid aluminium tonearm and replaceable head-shell with spring-loaded anti-skate adjustment. Its fully automatic status both cues and returns the tonearm to its original cradle position.
An inbuilt (switchable) phono preamplifier and rear RCA inputs ensure CS 429 will connect to a wide range of two-channel stereo amplifiers, surround sound receivers, and active loudspeakers.
And its MDF chassis is wrapped in a beautiful Blackwood veneer, contrasted by an aluminium die-cast platter topped with a resonant-damping rubber mat.

CUEING RECORDS... SO OUTDATED
Ditch the hassle of handling delicate tonearms and remove the heartache of breaking needles with Dual's fully-automatic CS 429 turntable. Playing records has never been so easy nor sounded so good. You simply sit the record down, hit start, and let Dual do the rest. This is the future of turntable play, and its fully-automatic.
Fully Automatic
Effortless and wonderfully tactile, Dual’s speed selection dial makes flipping between your favourite records a dream. Sling singles, start a 78 collection, or line up a playlist of LPs. It’s too easy and way too much fun.
33 ⅓ – for conventional 12" record play. This is the standard speed by which most records are pressed.
45 – originally used for EPs & singles, these days many high fidelity pressing are recorded at 45rpm to improve sound quality
78 – is itself an entirely different format to conventional vinyl records. They're harder, have much narrower record grooves, and require specific cartridges.
Simply Red, Simply Stunning
No phono? No problems.
Don’t buy new components just to play records. With an inbuilt (MM) phono preamplifier, CS 429 plays through just about anything. Bluetooth and smart speakers, powered monitors, or amplifiers without phono connections, if it’s powered and includes an analogue audio input, the CS 429 is all you need.
Belt Drive
It's no coincidence that the word's most celebrated turntable designs are belt driven. It's the most effective way to isolate turntable motor vibrations, increasing the detail, clarity, and dynamics of your records. And CS 429 is a traditional belt drive turntable.
