Rega Advanced EBLT Drive Belt

The advanced EBLT drive belt comes fitted as standard on the Planar 1, Planar 1 Plus, Planar 2, Planar 3, and Planar 6.

Each belt is precision-moulded using custom tooling and a unique proprietary material blend. After moulding, the belts are cryogenically treated and carefully finished to remove excess material, ensuring a perfectly round profile—critical for maintaining accurate speed and stability.

In normal use, the EBLT belt delivers a lifespan approximately 50% longer than the previous generation.

Performance testing shows a clear improvement in speed accuracy. Using the same Planar 1 turntable, with only the belt changed, wow and flutter measurements were significantly reduced:

Standard Belt: 0.253%
Advanced EBLT: 0.162%
Reference EBLT: 0.075%

This improvement is driven by the enhanced precision and consistency of the EBLT belt design.
